*I do not own any of the pictures in this blog post/video.
Pictures are from: https://www.sherrihill.com.

Allow me to go into some detail as to why I love these dresses so much:

Why I Love This Dress: First of all, mint is such a flattering color on this skin tone. (It also works with a variety of other skin tones too.) Secondly, I love the detailing. The floral/petal detailing is perfect for welcoming spring!

Why I Love This Dress: This dress looks like royalty- no lie! It's so simple, yet elegant. I would definitely get my hair tied up into something curly and sophisticated. This dress definitely deserves some type of an award.

Why I Love This Dress: This dress screams heart breaker, so ladies if you're flying solo- this is the dress for you. Red is such a classy color, with that being said, the slit up to mid-thigh just ties it all together. You will most definitely be breaking some hearts.

Why I Love This Dress: Again, the color is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a gal with blue eyes so this dress would definitely make them pop. I also love how simple this dress. It allows you to dress it up with silver accents. Go all out with diamond earrings sister!

Why I Love This Dress: Honestly. this is probably the dress I would choose for my own prom (next year). It's classy, elegant, and pretty. It's not too tight, yet I'm not swimming in it either. It's the perfect balance for me.

Why I Love This Dress: Not sure if I could rock this for my own prom, I would definitely need to get serious about my crunches, but I still love it. The silk skirt is very pretty. With the shirt being a little bit tighter there is a chic balance between the two.

Why I Love This Dress: This dress is gorgeous! I would love to dance in this and watch the fabric spin around me. The deep v-neck adds a touch of glam to the dress which I am also in love with.

Why I Love This Dress: Though the color is a little bold for me, I still like the texture. It's gorgeous! It reminds me of something a princess would wear.

Why I Love This Dress: This is another dress I would pick for my own prom. Again, the pastel pink screams spring to me. The intricate detailing at the neckline is so pretty! Kind of vintage looking, too!

That concludes my favorite dresses from Sherri Hill's prom dress collection. Aren't they absolutely gorgeous? Comment below telling me which one is your favorite!

Skincare Essentials

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog!

This week I'm sharing my skincare essentials with you. But before I get into that, here's some background information on my skin:

I have extremely oily skin which often leads to acne flare ups. With that, my skin is also extremely sensitive to harsh acne products. My skin will get dry and flaky very easily. I've finally found a system that works for me!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

Taking my makeup off is definitely a relief at the end of a long day. Doing it with these specific towelettes makes it 10x better. It is clinically proven to remove 99.3% of stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara! After using this wipe my skin feels clean and refreshed.

B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray

After shaking well, I apply this product to a clean surface before a moisturizer or makeup. Ultimately, the product gives your skin a quick hit of vitamins and calms a multitude of sins. Urban Decay's B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray features the first patented, stabilized form of topical vitamin B6, which absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness. It can also be used anytime to refresh skin or at night before your treatment.

CLEAN CLEAR ADVANTAGE Acne Spot Treatment

I might as well tell you what's great about it:
  • The powerful gel with breakthrough technology starts to dissolve surface oil on the skin.
  • Contains maximum strength 2% Salicylic acid.
  • Pimples are reduced in size, swelling and redness, and the formula won’t over-dry your skin.
The first day I used this product I instantly saw a change. I had a huge pimple on my forehead- by the end of the day it was reduced in size and redness. The swelling went down immensely! I felt so much more confident.

Clarisonic Mia 2 Garden Party Skin Cleansing System

I've had this product since the beginning of 9th grade. It definitely is a bit on the pricier side, but it's definitely worth it. For a girl with sensitive skin it uses the perfect amount of pressure to exfoliate and unclog pores.

Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets

I love keeping oil absorbing sheets in my backpack/purse depending on where I'm going. After the gym these are a great pick-me-up; plus they don't remove or smudge my makeup!

Oatmeal & Honey

For those of you who don't know I am obsessed with Pinterest. I am always finding new hacks- including beauty hacks. I found out that oatmeal and honey are two natural ingredients that can benefit my skin:

Oatmeal contains chemicals known as saponins that are characterized by their intense cleansing properties. Saponins are commonly added to shampoos and detergents for it’s emulsifying and foaming abilities that create a rich lather. Oatmeal is the ideal face mask, or even cleanser for every skin type, especially sensitive skin.

For a simple homemade recipe, mix whole oatmeal with warm water into a paste and add a teaspoon of honey. Rub the cleanser onto your skin in circular motions to cleanse face. The antibacterial action of honey will also help to relieve inflamed skin and alleviate dryness.

*I do this 1-2 times a week.

Jack Black Double Duty Face Moisturizer Spf 20

Yes, this may be a men's skincare brand, but quite frankly I don't care. It does just the trick! The lightweight moisturizer is an advanced facial treatment product with a built in sunscreen, SPF 20.  The emollient formula visibly improves skin's overall appearance and provides lasting hydration without oiliness or heaviness. Perfect for my oily/sensitive skin.

That concludes my skincare essentials. What are some of your skincare essentials? Comment below!

Library Lockdown: Study Essentials

Hi everyone,

I am super pumped for this week's post. I'm sharing with you all my study essentials for when I hit the library. I know we don't want to think about finals and such, but they're right around the corner. In order to help you prepare, I put together a list of things I bring with me.

iPad Mini 3

My iPad is my life saver. Unfortunately, my school doesn't have free wifi. I use my phone has a hotspot since I have a decent amount of data. I use my iPad to browse notes and view online textbooks. It's super helpful! (Don't forget your headphones!)

Comfy Clothes

For some reason, I simply can't study in jeans. My go to outfit is an oversized sweater and leggings. It's cute enough for the public eye, yet still comfy.

Planner

It's crucial to stay organized. I use my Lilly Pulitzer agenda for everything. I keep post-it notes in it with to-do lists and such. With this visual, I can see what I need to study for and by what date.

Backpack (With All Of Your Study Materials)

This is the most important thing you can bring! Remember that timeline you drew to help you ace your history test a few months ago? You're going to want that! Visuals are key!

Highlighters and Pens

I am a color coding addict. I color code everything in my notes. My history teacher even brought some attention to it one day during class. It immediately motivated me to intensify my note taking.

Black- regular note taking

Purple- Vocabulary

Red- Class notes that the teacher emphasizes

Blue- Effects

Sticky Notes

I love sticky notes. I have them everywhere. Absolutely everywhere! You can find them on my desk, in my planner, etc. They're a very helpful study tool. Use them to mark important pages and/or quotes of different readings for your literature class. When the teachers calls on me, I immediately know what to bring up. As for essay formatted tests, this method also comes in handy. I can easily remember some of the passages I noted.

Hot Beverage

Personally, when I'm studying, I enjoy a hot cup of tea. Or you can drink something cold, though something cafinated might help you pull that all nighter. I've pulled a few all nights on weekends studying for exams. (Yes, a quick Starbucks run was made prior.)

Healthy Snacks

Snacks are a must for me. I am always munching in the library whether it be on veggie straws or pretzels. I find that I am slightly more energized since my lunch is at 11:00 a.m.

This concludes my study essentials for when you hit the library. Ultimately, my biggest advice is to remain organized throughout the year. It will make studying much, much easier. I promise!

What are some of your study essentials and/or tips? I would love to hear them in the comments below!

Style Staples For The Gym

Hi everyone!

Welcome to this week's post: Style Staples For The Gym. Lately, I've been inspired by some workout clothes I found on Pinterest. They're so cute!

With soccer season in session, I've been whipping my butt into shape. Here are some of my style staples for still looking chic while getting messy:

Style Staples For The Gym

Free To Be (Wild) - Lululemon

Sports bras are a must for working out. I cannot workout in a regular bra- no matter how hard I try; it's just not comfortable. I love this one because of the back detailing. It's so cute!

 Essential Gym Bag - Lululemon

Mint is definitely my go-to color for spring and summer. With that, a mint gym bag is definitely needed to hold all my essentials.

Women's Dri-FIT Gym Reversible Workout Shorts - Nike

For hardcore cardio I definitely prefer to wait gym shorts over leggings. I don't like sweating through leggings- it's an icky feeling.  Dri-FIT shorts are definitely my favorite. The sweat dries up right away.

Wunder Under Pant III *Full-On Luon - Lululemon

When I'm doing a light workout, or lifting weights I prefer to wear leggings. I find that they are super comfortable.

Rosherun Sneakers - Nike

Everyone talks about Nike's Roserun sneakers. It offers cushioned support and maximum ventilation.

Heritage Performance Cap - Nike

For some reason I've been into baseball caps. They are the perfect accessory for lazy days. When I'm feeling jeans and a tank I'll throw this on to amp up my look.

Sunbeam Hoodie - Lululemon

Like I stated earlier, mint green is definitely my go-to color. I will be honest, I have about four hoodies similar to this one of the same color. Not going to lie, I probably don't need it, but it's still cute! Right?

Water Bottle - Victoria's Secret

I love, love these kinds of water bottles. The beverage stays cool for hours. I promise! The other day I filled the bottle around 10:30... by 2:00 it was still good! (I apologize, it was gone, but it still could have been cool.)

*After I finished this post I realized that it looks like it could have been sponsored by Lululemon or Nike. However, this is not the case. I just really enjoy their workout attire.
