February Favorites

This month has been a lot of fun. I've been spending a lot of my time at home studying and blogging. Throughout this month I've discovered some new apps and beauty essentials!

Here are my February favorites:

Beauty

Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub- Lately, I've been breaking out a little worse than usual. I've been using this product and it's helped out quite a bit.

Spa Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter by H2O+- This product makes my legs feel so smooth. I love using this product right after I shave. I've been using pretty often; I'll probably be using it more often since spring is right around the corner.

Fashion

Abercrombie V-Necks- Unfortunately, I only have two of these babies. They're super soft and super comfy. I wear them everywhere- to the mall, to bed, to school. They're a great versatile piece to keep in your wardrobe. *I do recommend getting them a size up for a looser fit.

Bailey Bow UGGS in Black- Literally I've been wearing these a ton. The little satin bows on the back add a desired touch of adorable. These have been my go-to shoe with a pair of leggings and an over sized sweater for those lazy days.

Scorpio Stud Earrings from American Eagle Outfitters- If you didn't know, I am a Scorpio. I saw these earrings on sale at American Eagle back in the beginning of January. I finally decided to pull them out of my closet and put them on. Lately, they've been my everyday studs.

Apps

PhotoMath- Super cool app! I'm taking several honors courses. It can be slightly difficult to remember everything. PhotoMath allows me to take a picture of an equation, and then it will give me the steps on how to do it. It's super helpful because I have math early in the morning and by the time I get home... I might not remember every single step. I would highly recommend this app.

Beats Music- I'm still playing around with the app, but as of now I'm enjoying it. In the beginning, it asks you several questions relating to your music interest. Following that, it customizes your dashboard with some of your favorite artists. So far it's pretty cool!

CalenMob- The. Best. Calendar. App. Of. All. Time. Seriously! As you may or may not know, I got an iPad mini for Christmas. I am so grateful. Anyway, I downloaded CalenMob. It syncs all of your calendars from your google calendar to the calendar on your phone, etc. I use the app to plan doctors appointments, test dates, holidays, and blog posts! It's super helpful!

Music

"Heartbeat Song" by Kelly Clarkson- Such a fun song to dance to with your girlfriends!

"Love Me Like You Do" by Elle Goulding- This song is from "Fifty Shades of Grey." I'm absolutely obsessed. I would love to see the movie, but unfortunately it's rated R. If any of you have seen it, please let me know what you think.

"Earned It" by The Weeknd- So maybe I'm slightly obsessed with the album. It has a ton of awesome songs including this one. I can't stop singing it. It's literally stuck inside my head. (Sorry I didn't link the direct video. Slightly inappropriate in my opinion.)

The Veronicas Lastest Album- Upbeat and catchy! My two favorites are "Cruel" and "Cold." These two songs include their well known sweet revenge vibe. I love it!

That concludes my February Favorites.

Get Ready With Me: Valentine's Day Outing

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Today I'll be doing a Get Ready With Me post. I'll be showing you the products I used to do my hair and makeup, along with my outfit!

Hair

My inspiration:

I wanted to go with something natural. My hair is naturally straight, so I decided to embrace it and touch it up with my Remington straightener.

Makeup

My inspiration:

I wasn't going out to a fancy dinner or anything, so I wanted to keep things natural. I wanted a matte finish and lengthened lashes.

Products I Used:
  • Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Foundation
  • Neutrogena Skin Clearing Blemish Concealer
  • Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder, Oil Control
  • BareMinerals READY Blush in The Proposal
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Tube-Original
  • BareMinerals READY Duo Eyeshadow in The Escape
  • Calvin Klein One Mascara
  • Spring Fling Lip Gloss (No Name Available)

Outfit
My inspiration:

Again, I was going for something casual, but appealing. I knew exactly where I had to go: Polyvore. Polyvore overwhelmed me with options.  I browsed websites like Dailylook, Forever21, and American Eagle Outfitters to gain inspiration. When all else failed, I roamed my sister's closet.

I came across this white peplum top with black intricate detailing. I loved it! My only problem was styling it. Again, I hit up google images and found this!

Peplum top: American Eagle Outfitters
I went with a peplum top because I knew I was going to indulge in a ton of different foods, haha.

Leggings: American Eagle Outfitters
The top was already very loose so I wanted to balance out the look with something tighter on my bottom half. I chose black to bring out the detailing within my shirt.

Necklace: American Eagle Outfitters
I chose a statement neckless that had a little bit more edge to it to balance out the look. Overall it gave me a nice balanced look with clean intentions.

Flats: Kohls
Simple black flats brought the whole look together adding a feminine touch. Something very appropriate for Valentine's Day.

Blazer: Kohls
It was fairly chilly outside, so I threw on a blazer to keep myself warm and a classy touch. (I thought it even made me look slightly older too! Maybe it was just me.)

Lastly, here's the finished look:

Who needs a date for Valentine's Day when you have some summer savings and love for yourself? That's exactly what I did. I took the day off from school work and treated myself to an outing with my family. Here are some pictures from the outing:

@guiliannamarie

Overall, I had a splendid time today. It was great giving and receiving love from the ones I love the most. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Abercrombie, Aerie, and Lush Haul

Hello everyone! x

So this past Saturday I went out shopping with my sister and my mom. We also met up with a family member to exchange Christmas gifts. (Yes, I know I'm a bit late on that trend, but this was the first weekend since Christmas that we were both free.)

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to brag in anyway shape or form. I've very thankful for everything.

The first thing I opened was this little box. It's a glass box from the Hallmark store. I really like the design on it since I am a complete disney fan. I'm going to store some of my expensive rings in it.

I've been really into Pandora rings. My grandmother got me one for Christmas and then my other family member gave me this one on Saturday. I'm in love with it. It's so pretty!

// Abercrombie //

Abercrombie was having an incredible sale. I obviously took advantage of it since Abercrombie is one of my favorite stores.

The first thing I picked up was this cropped sweater. I wanted to get some use out of it for school so I went with a large. I figured I could wear my Sky High Jeggings from American Eagle with it, therefore no skin will be exposed.

My mom found this skirt. For the spring season I really wanted a circle skirt that I could dress up or down. This is more of a casual skirt, but with a few silver accessories I can easily amp it up for summer date nights.

Some sleep shorts; I really like the floral pattern especially for spring. They'll be nice just to lounge around the house in.

This was a total steal! I believe it was $20 or something like that. It's so soft! Some nike kicks, leggings, sports bra, and this sweatshirt- hello Sundays!

// Aerie //

Aerie was also having a decent sale. I picked up this pajama set for a reasonable price.

I don't care who you are, you can never have enough pairs of black leggings. Black leggings are a holy grail item by a far. They're so comfortable!

I love this shirt! It's covered in butterflies. I got it in a size up so I could wear it out and about over leggings. (I'm not sure if it's a sleep shirt or an actual day shirt. Either way, I'm going to wear it out.)

Super cute socks! I love wearing "taller" socks when wearing boots because I hate the feel of the leather against my bare ankles. Therefore, I took my jeans into my socks. Hopefully you don't find this weird.

Because I spent over a certain amount of money in Aerie, I got this Spring Fling lotion for free. I'm excited to try this out when spring comes around.

I also picked up my free bra. Their rewards program is pretty sweet.

// Lush //

If you don't love Lush you don't exist. I first picked up this bubble bar that smells of oranges. It smells absolutely divine!

While I was in Lush I was tempted to try everything. I decided to ask about this Valentine's Day special. Yes, I fell in love. Yes, I had an impulse buy. But it was completely worth it because my lips currently feel like a baby's bottom.

Just because I can't leave there without getting a sample, I decided to try this soap.

And that concludes my haul. Thank you so much for reading,

Guilianna xx
