AEO + Pacsun Haul

Hi everyone! x

When I went away for my mini weekend getaway, I got the chance to stop in American Eagle Outfitters for a few minutes. I picked up two super cute things.

Then, last Thursday I hit up the mall with my two gal pals. We stopped at Pacsun. While we were there I found some difference essentials that I needed in my closet. I also found two different shirts to experiment with. Enjoy! x

American Eagle Outfitters

Hopefully you can make out this dress. (I'm testing out different places to take pictures for blog posts.) As you can see, this dress is from AEO. It has navy blue and white stripes. I personally love the circle cutout on the top half of the back.

This piece is very flattering on. It's fitted at the top to add emphasis on your curves. To balance you out, it has an empire waist. I love that! Very girly and chic.

I really want to style this with a white denim jacket and Keds! Are you getting the same Taylor Swift vibe that I'm getting? Classic.

Again with the navy blue and white stripes. (I've been enjoying navy blue a lot lately.) There are some sheer cut outs in the back which add some flare to the outfit since it's very simple.

This piece could be worked into a boho styled outfit. I think this would look super cute with some boyfriend jeans and a long neckless; and some Sperry Topsider boat shoes would complete the look perfectly. Very relaxed and beachy. What a great way to transition into the school year!

Pacsun

I was in desperate need of a solid white shirt. I don't have anything like it. I find that really weird because everyone needs a few basic tees like this in their wardrobe.

Not too long ago, I did a collective haul and I bought two scarves. I wanted to get shirts that I could style with the scarves.

I really like this shirt. Lately, I've been in love with navy blue, especially for the transition to the fall season. It's a simple v-neck with tied up sleeves.

I'd love to wear this with light wash jeans and UGGS. It's such a casual outfit for back to school. I can jazz it up with accessories if need be.

This is what I was referring to when I stated I wanted to experiment with my style. My style can be anything from girly to boho. I have no edgy pieces in my wardrobe.

Brandy Melville reminds me of a very edgy store. The LA print on the shirt reminded me of that; going hand in hand with the fishnet detailing in the back.

I'm not really sure how I want to style this, but I'm thinking some ripped skinny jeans would totally complete the look. It would definitely defines the edgy/vintage style.

Here, I played it safe with my floral prints; my girly style will never disappear. It's black with a pink floral print.

It's going to be very easy to style. I can layer it with other shirts, wear it with any kind of denim, etc. It's just a nice piece to add to my closet.

And my last piece, a piece I am experimenting with. It's very... Aerosmith? I don't even know.

I think a denim jacket over it would give it a more relaxed vibe, while still embracing the shirt's edge. As for a bottom portion of what would go with this, I'm not sure. A light wash denim? Let me know what you think.

What kind of people would we be if we didn't take selfies! Here I am on the left wearing two pieces from Forever21. I didn't necessarily care for them.

The shirt was made out of a rough material that I didn't like the feel of on my skin. As for the shorts, I love the color, but the way they fit was just not flattering to my behind. It's okay, not every outfit works.

Here we are once again taking selfies. My friend sniped me! Anyway, this is from Charlotte Russe. We didn't have any reason to buy these extravagant dresses, but we felt the need to try them on because we're girls... and that's what girls do.

Anyway, I love the color of this dress. It had a small 'V' in the middle of my dress if you can tell. I didn't like the way the wire felt, it was a little rough, but I found it flattering.

I personally love the empire waist. It's flattering on any body shape. So, if you're looking for a specific dress style, I would highly recommend it.

Lastly, my shoes. Oh. My. God. I could not walk! I wore one inch heels to my 9th grade formal and I almost died. These were about four. Heck. To. The. No. Am I right? God bless the girls that actually walk in these. I was holding on to the bar in the dressing room the whole time trying to keep my balance. Hahaha!

And that concludes my haul. I hope you enjoyed this post. Last week I joined a #tbloggers chat and a lot of bloggers stated that they enjoyed hauls. Are there any other posts that you guys enjoy- OOTD, FOTD, #WCW, tags, tutorials, etc. Just let me know. I'd love to incorporate what you like with some of my post ideas.

I'll be starting my #BackToSchool series August 4, 2014.

Natalie's Makeover

"Be your own kind of beautiful."
-Unknown

Hi everyone! This is going to be similar to a Get Ready With Me post, but instead I'm doing this person's hair, makeup, and outfit. Enjoy! x

First, we started off with a relaxing bath using some of these awesome products:

And what kind of bath would this be without bubbles!?

Whenever her hair reaches a certain length she donates it because she's the sweetest person ever, therefore her hair is short and is somewhat difficult to work with. We decided to rock some straight locks with volume.

The sleek hair trend never goes out of style. You can read my article on Bitchy Online UK on how to get your hair sleek and shiny.

The 'How To" Guide For Mastering Sleek and Shiny Locks-http://www.bitchyonline.com/?p=3596

Here we did her makeup. We went very natural. The goal was to enhance her beautiful features. For the face, we used a BB cream instead of a foundation. We then set it with a translucent powder. No concealer was needed because she didn't have any imperfections.

Next, I dusted a light, natural looking pink blush over her cheeks. This brought some color to her face.

For her eyes we wanted to have her gorgeous blue eyes pop. We did this by using bronzey colors. To add definition I added a darker brown into her crease and outer corner.

Lastly, for her lips I applied an EOS lip balm to keep her lips hydrated. I then applied a sheer gloss over her lips since we played up her eyes.

Let's Flirt

For the daytime:

Shirt: Hot Topic
Shorts: American Eagle Outfitters
Flip Flops: American Eagle Outfitters
Purse: Coach

Double L-Zip Wristlet in Saffiano Leather

I think a purse can make or break an outfit. When is comes to purses I am your girl! This adds a pop of color to the outfit.

The outfit is very casual and laid back, this shows that it's very girly and flirty. Plus, it's an amazing statement piece.

The Heartbreaker

Here's the finished look; a true beauty for when you're going out for a night on the town:

We like to call this outfit The Heartbreaker or You Shouldn't Have Broke My Heart. Could you imagine if someone broke up with you and you went out the next night looking like this?! They'd be crawling at your feet, girlfriend!

Earrings: Pandora
Dress: Forever21
Shoes: Payless
Purse: Kate Spade

Astor Row Maisey
If you go with a more simpler pair of shoes you can expand your bag choice. Add a pop of color with your shoes or your bag! It's a funky way to make a statement.
This dress is very simple, therefore you can pair with any heel you want! Experiment a bit with patterned platforms and shiny rhinestones:

Zappos

Ballin

I hope you enjoyed this post. We had a lot of fun doing this together. You can check out Natalie's blog by clicking here.

Guest Post: Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner

Hi everyone! x

It's Guilianna. I recently got back from a mini vacation for the weekend. I like to schedule my posts, but I'm very busy. I volunteer, I write for Bitchy Online UK, I am a member of the Sunflower Collab, I have summer assignments, etc. Anyway, Amanda was kind enough to guest post for me. Isn't that kind? I am so very thankful. I loved reading this post, as will you. Again, thank you so much Amanda for doing this for me. It really helped me out. Enjoy! x

A LOVE LETTER TO STILA SMUDGE STICK WATERPROOF EYELINER IN LIONFISH

Dear Lionfish,

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Bold but beautiful, with your flecks of glitter

The dark brown backdrop with the golden shimmer

Oh, you take my breath away

You're eternally sharp, ready for action

Housed in a retractable, twisting body

Oh, I've definitely joined the pencil liner faction

I'm in love with the on-the-go ease you embody

I'm not the Bard, and I'm certainly not Tennyson,

But your waterproof nature has me waxing lyrical

You last through sweat and tears, an absolute miracle,

Even through wrestling practice; that deserves a mention!

A pigmented dark brown, you run ever so smoothly

Never skipping or tugging at my sensitive lids

You're the first thing to cheerily, happily bid

Me good morning. A Holy Grail, if I may say truthfully!

You're an absolute wonder, a dream com true,

A soulmate in eyeliner, with those flecks of golden shimmer

Subtle and fine, they open my eyes with a gorgeous glimmer

There never was an truer "glitter liner", until I met you.

That's my attempt at an ode to Lionfish. Lionfish and all of her relatives in the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner family retail for $20 at Ulta, Sephora, and Stila's own website. If you've ever wanted to break out of a black eyeliner rut, or if you just fancy a go at something with a subtle does of glitter, Lionfish has got you covered. She's part of my every day routine; I've even worn her on the wrestling mat.

All in all, a wonderful find for me. If you're in the market for a new eyeliner, give her a try!

What are your favorite smudge proof, waterproof eyeliner formula?

Collective Haul (Aeropostale, Bath & Body Works, Drugstore, etc.)

Hello everyone! xx

**DISCLAIMER** I am not trying to brag in any shape or form. Enjoy! x

This past week I did a little bit of shopping and wanted to share some of things I got with you. Sunday, I went to the mall with my mom.

I got 3 things from Aeropostale. They were having a decent sale. I haven't bought things from there in the longest time. (I actually think it's been a whole summer!)

First, I have this adorable crop top. The tribal print will certainly be eye catching. I obviously would wear this under a knit sweater with some high waisted bottoms.

This knit sweater is so soft. I love the way it looks over the crop top. The v-neck allows the tribal print to show, but it also does a nice job of concealing the lower half of my abdomen.

Lastly, I got these high-waisted pants by Bethany Mota. I've been looking for something from the Bethany Mota collection. These pants are comfortable, high waisted, and their color is super summery! The 3 items together look really cute.

From Bath & Body Works I got this lotion. It smells so, so good. It's very tropical. Again, it's something that screams summer.

Mini drugstore haul; here we go! So, I went to Walmart and I was slightly low on some products. (We got other things too, but these were the two that I picked out for myself.) All of it is mostly self-explanatory.

I made my final stop at a flea market. First, I bought an EOS lip balm in Tangerine. I'm really excited to try it out. I have so many EOS lip balms.

Next, I got two infinity scarves. The one has colorful anchors printed on it. As for the other one it's black and white with Marilyn Monroe printed on it. I love, love, love it! I cannot wait until fall and winter. I'm looking forward to styling these scarves.

From Hot Topic, I bought this Little Mermaid shirt. It's so pretty. The back is sheer; it's gorgeous. I'm looking forward to transitioning this to fall.

I couldn't resist; it's Olaf! I'm thinking some black tights and a black blazer. Perfect for winter! (And of course the summer!)

And that concludes my collective haul. I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!

Products I've Used Up

Hi everyone! x

Today I'm going to be sharing with you products I've used up. This video is pretty common on YouTube so I thought I would bring it into the blogging world. Enjoy! x

I've completely used up my Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline. I love this product. It evens out my skin tone while leaving a matte finish. The Great Lash mascara by Maybelline is nothing to brag about. I personally didn't like it. As for the two concealers, I loved them. I recently repurchased the Neutrogena concealer. I love it so much!

I got this last summer from Ulta. I have a few squirts left, but that's about it. I love this product. It leaves a slight shimmer on my skin. It's the perfect way for me to freshen up when I'm on the go.

I love using this product for my lazy days. I apply this to the ends and roots of my hair for some volume and texture. It's easy and still looks I put some effort into my hair when I'm running out and about.

The Rare Blend Deep Conditioner by Ojon is very hydrating towards my hair. During the summer my hair tends to get very dry because I spend a lot of my time in the pool. This moisturizes my hair extremely well. At the end of my shower you can see a clear difference in my hair. I absolutely love the results. I hope to be purchasing a new tube of this in my near future.

I am currently finishing up my third bottle of this beautiful stuff- Gel Cleanser Balancing Toner by Primavera. I like to apply this to my Clarisonic because it works really well when it comes to cleansing my pores.

That about concludes the products I've used up in the past few months. I really love most of these products. What products have you used up?

Thanks for reading,

Dear Journal: 6/12/14

"If you're brave enough to say good-bye, life will reward you with a new hello."
-Paulo Coelho

I am currently loving the song Break Free by Ariana Grande. "This is the part when I break free because I can't resist it anymore," is one of my favorite lines. It defines independence and beauty. I like that a lot.

I related this song to the quote above because good-bye is very difficult- the flashbacks, the echoes, the feelings, etc. It's perpetual. When you get the chance to "break free," it's exciting and new. Life will reward us with a new exciting experiment.

Sunday I started the week off well by shopping with my mom. Then, I hung out with my sister. I gave her a mini makeover. (I'm a total girl- I know.) After that, evening came around and we decided to go on a walk. It was beautiful outside.

Monday was a really decent day. I spent my morning and afternoon volunteering at a local hospital. That was okay. I came home and spent a little bit of time dedicated to my blog. (I was super busy, I didn't get a chance to post. My apologies.) Later that evening, I went to a park and took a nice walk.

The sky was a perfect shade of dark blue- so captivating and enthralling. The breeze wrapped itself around me and comforted me. The sun shined, then it warmed my soul. Summer is simply stunning.

Tuesday: I worked on some ball skills and took a few shots. Not bad, right? I think my intensity level, as far as soccer goes, has increased a little bit. That is currently my favorite ball. I love the splash of color and the fact that it says Messi.

On Wednesday, I went to volunteer once again. Once I got home I continued my soccer streak. I went outdoors and played some street soccer with my sister. Very fun. I concluded my day by watching the World Cup semi finals.

I'm not going to lie: I was very pleased when Argentina won. Again, I'm not going to lie: I was very pleased when Messi scored. Go team, go!

Thursday, I spent my morning working on article for Bitchy Online UK magazine. I'm trying to develop a schedule so I can work on my blog, my collaboration blogs, and the website. Hopefully something catches.

I then took a very long bath and took about an hour to tweeze my eyebrows. On the bright side they look really good now. If you want I can do a whole post dedicated to my wonderful eyebrows, haha. I'd love to do that.

I hung out at the pool most of the day. Very relaxing type of day.

Today, I got up and worked on an article for Bitchy Online UK. Then I went out to do some shopping with my mom. Nothing exciting; boring groceries and stuff like that.

I am looking for guest posts. If you're interested please email me. I need them by the 22nd of July.
My email is gmcginniss@gmail.com. Thank you.

Pier Ready: How To Get The Perfect Summer Pedi-http://www.bitchyonline.com/?p=3231

The Summer Tag

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to be doing the Summer Tag. I was tagged by Preetiest. I'm super excited to be doing this tag. Enjoy! xx

1. What's your favorite thing about summer?
My favorite? Summer has so many benefits; it's hard to pick just one. I love the idea of relaxing by the pool during the hot afternoons.

2. Do you have a favorite summer drink?
I have a few, but my number one is definitely water. I carry it around with my everywhere: on walks, in my purse, etc. It's very hydrating. I will admit to my guilty pleasures being black & white milkshakes from a local dairy though.

3. Is there a location you like to go each summer?
Yes, yes, yes! I go to Walt Disney World fairly often. Last summer, we went twice. This summer we already went- we went in June. It's always a lot of fun. QT with the family is never a bad thing.

4. Favorite look for summer?
I love sundresses. (I'm your typical girly girl, I know.) I also really like the look of crop tops and high-waisted shorts. To go along with that trend, I love color blocking. I think it looks super cute!

5. Dresses or skirts?
I'd probably go with dresses. I tend to wear a lot of dresses throughout the whole year.

6. Sandals are ballet pumps?
Sandals! My shoe collection is expanding with sandals. There were pretty big sales the past two weekends... and I kinda went a little crazy with the shoes, but that's okay, right? It's a girl thing!

7. Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down for summer?
For those Friday night parties I like to wear my hair down. If I wear it up, it's in a braid or doughnut bun.

8. Deep smokey eyes or bold lips?
My eyelids tend to get somewhat oily throughout a hot summer day, even with a primer. I prefer a bold lip. I think I can rock a matte red lip better than a smokey eye anyway, haha.

9. Favorite perfume for summer?
During the summer I like to use body splashes as opposed to perfumes. I like anything that is mango scented- very summery.

10. Last but not least, favorite music for summer?
Anything upbeat and poppy! You can checkout my summer playlist here.
