USA Name Necklace

Today, I'm featuring my new favorite necklace from USA Name Necklace. USA Name Necklace sent me the Personalized Sterling Silver Monogram Necklace to feature on my blog.

I've always wanted a monogram necklace-- and this one exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect accessory for everyday wear. Whether your hiking or going to a family reunion, this necklace is your new go to.

Here's how I styled it:

I actually wore this to my boyfriend's mom's birthday party. I think it was the perfect outfit-- casual and dressy all at the same time. And the necklace really pulls it all together.

Later on in the evening, I threw on a crewneck. (It was a little chilly for the end of July!) The necklace, again, looked perfect! Though the oversized crewneck made my outfit appear less dressy, the necklace distracted from it, making me still look put together.

Overall, I'm a huge fan of the necklace! If you're a monogram-a-holic like myself, go get your hands on this necklace! You won't regret it.

Question of The Day: What's your go to accessory?

Plan With Me ft. Lavish Paper Co.

Good morning, everyone!

I am so excited for today's blog post. I'm teaming up with Lavish Paper Co. to show you how I organize my planner.

This school year, I am using the Jumbo Agenda in Beach Loot by Lilly Pulitzer. So far, I love it! I love how big and spacious it is. It has plenty of room to record blogging assignments, homework, and extracurriculars.

First things first, stickers! Stickers not only make your planner brighter, but they make it more organized. My personal favorite set of stickers from Lavish Paper Co. is the Small Flag Planner Stickers.

I plan on using these when mapping out my syllabus. I'll use orange for one class, yellow for another, etc. I'll be using the last row for important events at Cabrini University. For example, I used the pink flags for Move In Day and The First Day of Class.

I am also a huge fan of the Trashcan Planner Stickers. I'm going to be using these 1-2 times a week to remind me when it's time to clean my room and change my sheets.

And let's not forget these adorable Running Shoe Icons. These are going to be perfect to remind me when to workout.

These Small Soccer Ball stickers were a must for me! Not only am I planning to cheer on the guys and gals at Cabrini University, but I'm also planning to play intramural soccer. I thought these would be super cute!

For those of you who follow me on Snapchat, you know that I practically live at Target. With my busy schedule next year, I thought these would be appropriate to plan when I need to go shopping-- case of water, deodorant, razors-- you know the drill. I'll use a sticky note to keep track of my shopping list and put it right under the sticker for easy access.

Are these Top Bun Up Getting Things Done stickers not the cutest stickers you've ever seen? I love how they're color coded, too! I'm going to use these when I have mega studying to do!

I'm not going to lie, I'm probably going to come home for the weekends. I live relatively close to the campus I'm attending. These weekend stickers are for when I'm coming home and I have big plans to RELAX!

I think self-care is super important. It's okay to say no to those Friday night parties and put a face mask on instead. I'll be using these nail stickers when I'm in need of some me time/pamper time.

Here's how I color code:

School Work
All Things Blog Related
Health and Fitness
Important
Other (Internships, Jobs, Social, etc.)

Use your highlighters for time management:

0-5 Minutes
5-15 Minutes
15-30 Minutes
30+ Minutes

My biggest tip is to remember to schedule self-care! I know I'm going to want to do everything in college-- Honors Program, intramural sports, newspaper, etc. I'm going to be scheduling "Me Time" once every week/every two weeks.

Don't forget to checkout Lavish Paper Co. on Etsy. All of her prints are super cute and eco-friendly!

July Favorites

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm sharing some products and songs I've been loving this month. Be sure to comment below some products you've been loving this month. I need some new products to try out next month.

Beauvivo Organic Soaps

Beauvivo was so kind, and they sent me their Men's Soap Sampler to feature. This sampler retails for $9.95. First things first: packaging! It's so sleek and elegant looking. I adore the packaging. Within the sampler, there are 10 little soaps, some of which are unscented. I like that the pack includes both scented and unscented. My personal favorite is Midnight Tea Tree.

Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask

While I was in Florida, I purchased a sampler pack of Peter Thomas Roth masks. My personal favorite is the 24K Gold mask. My skin looks so much brighter after usage.

Lilly Pulitzer Jumbo Agenda - Beach Loot

While on vacation, I purchased a Lilly Pulitzer agenda for college. I decided to go with the large agenda to manage not only my school work, but my blog work. I've already started decorating it.

Mom Life Box

This month, I was sent the Mom Life Box. Though I am not a mom, the items in this box are really cool! This month's theme was pineapples. How cute, right?

-Wine glass
-2 Paper straws
-Pineapple Sunshine candle
-Gold pineapple necklace
-Pineapple bath bomb
-Pineapple sleeping eye mask

My mom helped me open the package. She loved all of the products, so I agreed to split them down the middle with her. (There was no way I was giving up the pineapple necklace!) If you're looking for a gift for your mom, I highly recommend this box!

"I'm A Lady" by Meghan Trainor

Meghan Trainor's music is so bold and energetic. This track is no different.

"Praying" by Ke$ha

Ke$ha made a comeback! I can't wait until she drops a track with Taylor Swift. Wasn't that the rumor a couple of months ago?

"Why" by Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter never fails to disappoint.

Top Christian Tracks on Spotify

Lately, I've been falling in love with Christian music. I've been enjoying music by Chris Tomlin and the Newsboys.

That concludes this month's favorites! Remember to comment below some of the things you've been loving this month.

Get Ready With Me: Summer BBQ

Good morning, everyone!

On Friday, I went to Cabrini University's Summer BBQ. I thought it would be fun to show you my hair, makeup, and outfit. Let's get started!

Hair

Lately, I've been using this new shampoo and conditioner I received from Revucell Organics. After the first wash, I've noted a transformation in my hair. My hair was so soft and shiny. There was even some volume around my roots-- which I struggle a lot with during the summer months.

When stepping out of the shower, I graduated to some brushes I received from Brushopolis. The Monroe Prepping Paddle is essential to your haircare routine. I love how it's delicate enough to use on my wet hair, yet it still gets those stubborn tangles out.

Next, I like to use the Monroe Etiquette Hourglass Round Styling + Finishing Brush. I like this brush because it's get the job done in a timely manner. It's also lightweight, so it doesn't make my arm tired like other round brushes. It also adds a bit of shine on the ends of my hair-- which I really like!

Lastly, I use the Classic Teasdale Brush. This brush is perfect for taming fly aways or touching up the ends of my hair.

This haircare routine is definitely a bit extensive, but it keeps me looking my best. My hair has never looked as healthy or shiny as it does now.

Skincare

Usually my skincare routine is twice as long as my haircare routine, but on this particular day, I kept it very simple. I started off cleansing my face with a gentle facial wash. Next, I went in with a gentle exfoliator from Rodan + Fields. Lastly, I followed up with my favorite hydrating mist from Tarte Cosmetics. This is the perfect product to use before applying moisturizer and makeup. Today, I used a moisturizer with SPF in it because I knew I would be outside for quite some time.

Makeup

Finally-- the exciting part of this blog post!

Outfit

I decided to keep my outfit preppy, yet simple. Navy is one of my school colors (and favorite colors!) so I thought why not?

T-Shirt: Sperry Topsider
Shorts: Sperry Topside
Flip Flops: J+S Brooklyn Sandals
Earrings: Kohls
Watch: FitBit
Sunnies: Ray Bans
Purse: Dooney and Bourke

I had so much fun at CU's BBQ! Followed by opening remarks, there was a field day for the Class of 2021. We played games and did a scavenger hunt. I had so much fun taking selfies with Mother Cabrini and my new friends! I also had the chance to meet my roommate. How exciting!

Dorm Room Haul: Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of my Dorm Room Haul!

In today's post, I am mainly showcasing some desk items and shower goodies! If you didn't read Part 1, click here.

I decided to pick up this navy stapler because it matched the rest of my room decor perfectly.

Pencil Sharpener

Bed Bath & Beyond handed out goodie bags to customers who were going to college. This was one of the items in my goodie bag. I thought it could come in handy for something. I'll keep it on my desk somewhere.

My mom picked these up for me as a surprise. I have a huge obsession with popcorn. These sticky notes will definitely come in handy.

Minnie Mouse Pen

My mom also picked up this pen. I think this is going to be cute on my desk. I'll use it to jot down reminders on my sticky notes.

I really like this desk lamp from Target. I like that it has an organizer built into it for paper chips, pushpins, etc. It also has a USB port! How convenient?

Loofah

Again, this was one of the items in my Bed Bath and Beyond goodie bag. It's great quality!

Toothbrush

I decided to pick up a new toothbrush for college. I really like these toothbrushes from Oral B.

Command Hooks

Command hooks are essential for college. Or, so I've been told. I'm planning to use one to hang my monogram, and the other to hang my towel.

Macbook Air

My parents were so kind and purchased me a MacBook Air as a graduation present. I am so thankful! I've been using it ever since.

Kate Spade Laptop Case

My grandma bought me a Kate Spade laptop case for graduation. I love, love, love it! It's so sleek and elegant.

Towels

Towels are a must. I picked up these navy towels from Walmart. Affordable and decent quality!

Gracie Mae Gifts was so kind. They sent me this shower caddy to feature on my blog. I absolutely adore it. I also love that it has my monogram. #Monogramaholic

Vera Bradley Laundry Bag Duffle

Unfortunately, I think Vera Bradley discontinued this item. I purchased it from the Vera Bradley Outlet, where they only sell retired prints.

Monogrammed Pen Cup

Again, Gracie Mae Gifts was so kind and they sent me this monogrammed pen cup. I love how this turned out. This is going to look so cute on my desk.

Fabric Garland

One Lucky Ladybug on Etsy was so kind and sent me this fabric garland to feature. I think the fabric garland underneath my navy blue wooden monogram will tie my room together perfectly.

I also purchased a microwave and a refrigerator, but they were much too difficult to transport and take pictures of. I'll be sure to share them with y'all once I do a room tour.

Comment below! What are some of your dorm room must-haves?

Dorm Room Haul: Part 1

Good morning, everyone!

Today, I have a very exciting post for y'all: My Dorm Room Haul! Before I get into this post, I would first like to apologize for the photography. My collection of items is in my living room and not in my studio where I film the majority of my pictures. So, again, I'm so sorry about that! On Monday, my photography will be back to normal.

A Full Length Mirror

I really like this one because you can put it over your door. You put the mirror on the inside and the dry erase board on the outside. Pretty clever!

I've been telling my parents for quite some time the I wanted some sort of storage unit for college. I wanted something to organize my school work and blog mail. I think this is going do just the trick. I can also store my laptop on it.

Tommy Hilfiger Comforter

First things first, I apologize for the glare in this picture. The lighting was awful the day I took these. And the day after, when I tried again. I picked this comforter up from Gabe's. It was a decent price!

Pillow

I actually won this in a Bed Bath & Beyond raffle. Pretty cool, huh?

Throw Pillows

Throw pillows are a must for me. I purchased the navy blue on the left. It's from IZOD. The other two were sent to me. The pink and navy blue one is from Gracie Mae Gifts, and the graduation one is from Pillow Therapy.

Cozy Blanket

I picked this super soft blanket up from JC Penny when they were having a huge sale. I think it came down to $20 or something like that.

I never considered the idea of having a wooden monogram in my dorm room, until I saw it on Pinterest. It makes quite a statement, while hiding a white, boring wall. Gracie Mae Gifts was so kind to again send this to me. I'm planning on spray painting it navy blue.

Cork Boards

I thought these would be a fun addition to my room. I thought they'd be great for pinning up pictures of friends and family, and maybe some assignments too.

I am in love with this canvas. It's very Kate Spade inspired, which is my favorite part about it. I have yet to see my dorm room, but I'm picturing this pop of color over my desk. This was sent to me from Kate Stefani on Etsy.

Picture Frames

My mom bought this for me from Hobby Lobby. I decided to throw a picture in it from prom. I'll probably end up putting this on my night stand, but who knows?

I showed this in my College Essentials blog post. Highly, highly recommend! I love that it's gray and white with a pop of navy. I put up two pictures, one from graduation and another from an awards ceremony. I'm planning to switch them out all the time. I might even throw on a pack of sticky notes. It's a great space saver. Definitely checkout Rememory Designs on Etsy. There are so many options!

I picked up this basic white trash can from Target. I'm pretty sure it was no more than $3.

iPhone chargers are not known for their longevity, so my mom picked up an extra incase of an emergency.

She also picked me up this phone. Apparently, I have really bad reception in the dorm. #DormLife

Every. Single. Person. Said that I need to get a surge protector. So, I bought it!

I picked this up from bed Bath & Beyond last minute. My mom suggested I get incase I want to make hot chocolate, soup, etc.

Popcorn Tin

My mom bought this for me when we were in Walt Disney World. I am a huge popcorn eater. So, this is definitely going to come in handy. I love that it has a lid so I can store the popcorn away for later.

Again, I picked this up from Bed Bath & Beyond. It was definitely on the expensive side for a lap desk. I think it came down to $16, but it's definitely good quality.  I'm looking forward to using it!

That concludes my dorm room haul! On Saturday, Part II will be live. Comment below: what's an essential for your dorm?
