Top 5 UK Products by Coral Crossing

Hi everyone, it's Alex! Today, I have a special treat for you all. My new blogger friend, Morgan, is guest posting today on her top 5 UK makeup products. You can find my top 5 US makeup products on her blog. Everything will be linked below if you're interested. So, without a further introduction, let's get started. Enjoy! x

After a whole weeks worth of thinking I have finally managed to narrow down my favourite UK exclusive beauty products to just five. These are my top items that I would recommend you getting your mitts on if you get the chance.

Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes - £7.99
In each of the Sleek palettes you get twelve shades, sometimes all matte or shimmer, but usually a mix of both finishes. The pigmentation is amazing and the shimmery shadows have a lovely buttery texture. I have found them to be a dream to blend out and there is such a variety of looks that you can create with each palette, ranging from very neutral for everyday wear to smokey or colourful for a night out.

Topshop Lipsticks - £8
I have tried quite a few products from the Topshop makeup line and haven't been disappointed with any of them, however thier lipsticks steal the show! They quality is very comparable to Mac (but for half the price - score) and there are even some specific dupes. These beauties are my go to lipsticks,  I'm wearing the shade 'the damned' as I write this post :)

Primark Makeup Sponge - £1.50
Primark definitely isn't the first shop that pops into mind when I think of beauty tools, however I have to say that this Beauty Blender knockoff is incredible. Fist of all it costs a mere £1.50, so it's not going to break the bank and secondly it does such a good job of applying foundation. All of the other egg type if makeup sponges I have tried in the past have never had the exact same shape as the 'real deal' and there have always been slight differences, but this one identical. Ten out of ten from me!

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish - £3.99
I'm not a massive nail polish wearer and whenever I do paint my nails I always leave them to chip so bad that it ends up wearing completely off. Classy. Anyways, Barry M are infamous for their polishes and thier 'gelly' line really does last an entire week and has a lovely hi-shine finish, so no need for a top coat either. They are perfect if you are lazy like me and are just looking for something that requires minimal fuss, but that lasts a long time.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks - £1.00
I have been using these face masks for years now and they are the only product that has remained consistent in my skincare routine. As you can see they come in a squeeze-able sachet, which allows you to be able to get every last drop of product out, so that none is wasted. There is literally about fifty different varieties, some are peel off, some self heating, anti stress and all that jazz.

"Dear Darlin" by Olly Murs

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely week. I had an okay week.

Monday was a lazy day. I wore sweatpants and a hoodie. I wasn't feeling too well, but I'm feeling a little better, so I suppose that's a good thing. I had a ton of homework, but I finished it all at school. I was in one of my major classes when I overheard a conversation. There was a breakup. The guy broke up with the girl before they reached 4 months because he wasn't getting any "action." Wow. I suppose peer pressure got to him. He lost his balance on a tight rope, and I feel bad for him. Although, I am so proud of that girl for realizing her limits. It makes me so happy to know that there are such strong women in our society.

Tuesday was fine. I got a little more dressed up- UGGS, leggings, a casual tee and a cardigan. It went really well with my new hair! I recently got a haircut.

Wednesday was- I'm speechless.

Moving on. Thursday, I didn't have school. We got a ton of snow. I spent the day pampering myself, I suppose you could say. I helped my sister with an essay, worked on some of my own homework, and took a long bath.

Friday, again, we didn't have school. The snow is piling up. I just worked on some blog posts throughout the day. For school, I have to take care of a baby. It's a computerized baby that cries whenever, so this weekend may be a little hectic.

Her name is Amy; I didn't name her, my school named her.

As for Valentine's Day, I didn't have any special plans. I'm going through a stage where I'm never going to have a boyfriend again. Although, surprisingly, that doesn't make me bitter on Valentine's Day, it kind of wants me to celebrate the idea of love a little more- with my best friend.

The Valentine's Angel came last night and left a few gifts for my dog, my sister, and myself. The Beggin' Strips go right to the dog, haha. The stuffed animal, soccer can, and money is my sister's. For myself, I got Dove milk chocolates, a primer, a concealer, as well as little cash. I'm thankful for everything I got. A special thanks goes out to my parents. x

Today, the baby woke me up around 5:00 A.M. That was agony. Therefore, I am currently working on my blog. She's sleeping. My sister and I will probably have some boding time since she's been helping me take care of the computerized baby. Wish us luck! xx

Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate it. I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day.

Get Ready With Me: Valentine's Day Date

I hope you all are enjoying your Valentine's Day. For the most part, I am. I don't have a fancy date or anything tonight, mostly because boys are a waste of time... who needs a boyfriend when you've got your girlfriends?

If I did have a date, this is what I would wear. So, for all of you ladies going on a date to celebrate your love for each other, here is a post for you. If you're going out with your girls, here is a post for you. If you just wanna get a little dressed up, this post is for you. Enjoy! x

Hair

If you follow me on Twitter, you may know that I recently got a haircut. I'm going to try to start taking really good care of my hair. After I got out of the shower, I applied a leave in conditioner towards the ends. I then let my hair air dry, but you can always use a blow dryer for time convenience.

Once my hair dried, I applied a heat protector to my hair. Then I use my CHI straightener to straighten my hair.

I wanted to keep my hair off of my face, so I pulled back my bangs with a bobby pin.

Makeup

Moving on to my makeup... Today, the Valentine's Angel came to visit and dropped off a few goodies. He brought me some chocolate, as well as the Neutrogena Healthy Skin primer and the concealer. Because I have acne prone skin, I decided to start using Neutrogena products over other drugstore brands.

I first applied the primer, followed by the shine control foundation. The concealer has a sponge applicator, which I've never come across before. I really like it. I was going for a flawless/matte finish, which I think I achieved well with these products.

To seal everything in place, I used the shine control powder, again by Neutrogena.

My apologies, I don't have the name of this trio from CoverGirl. I used the middle color for the apples of my cheeks. I like to swirl it up to my temples for a natural approach, so I used the lighter color to do so.

I wear glasses for the most part. so I like to make my eyes stand out behind my frames. To achieve a brightening eye, I applied the second color over my lid. The middle color into my crease. The fourth color to my outer corner. I then I used the lightest shade as a highlight into my inner corner and brow bone. Of course this was all over my Urban Decay eyeshadow primer.

As for the Almay concealer, I use this for under my eyes, since I have dark circles.

This is one of my favorite mascaras. It lengthens and volumes my lashes. It really helps my eyes stand out behind my frames.

For my lips, it's important to me that I keep them soft (and kissable!) at all times. My favorite product for doing so is the Neosporin Overnight Lip Therapy. I usually apply this every morning and every night. To give my lips a hint of color and shine, I used a gloss balm from the CoverGirl Natureluxe Collection in the shade Hibiscus.

To set my makeup, I used the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray (one of my favorites).

I really love these nails! They're super girly and wearable. They really work well together and the colors most definitely compliment each other.

"Replay" by Zendaya

I've been absolutely obsessed with this song lately. I don't usually listen to this kind of music, I'm more of a pop/country person, but it's got something in it that I've been enjoying- a lot. "Wanna put you on repeat, play you everywhere I go...."

Sunday was a pretty good day. I went shopping with some of my close friends. I got some stuff from Forever21, Charlotte Russe, and American Eagle. I've come across the fact that I officially need a job. My friends and I have been going to a shopping center/mall every other weekend. Of course, there's always something that catches my eye.

On Monday we didn't have school. The winter weather is officially ruining my life. We're going to be in school until July at this rate. Some of our spring break days were taken away since we have to make them up. This is so unfortunate. I spent some time with my dad today. We worked on some soccer skills. I'm getting ready for the upcoming season.

Tuesday I had school. Nothing too interesting happened. As for Wednesday, we didn't have school. We had some sort of ice storm. It was awful. I spent the day cleaning out my closet. (I send my clothes to a charity or my sister's room.) I also spent a lot of time watching TV.

Thursday, I had a delay. Most of my morning consisted of sleeping in a little bit and taking a lot more time to do my hair and my makeup. I also took the time to make myself tea and write in my journal.

As far as my school day went, it went just fine. I got a ton of compliments on my outfit. (That's always a good thing.)

Friday... TGIF! When I got home from school there was a package waiting for me. I was astonished because I wasn't expecting anything. My parents bought me a popcorn bucket with the Florida Gators on it. I really want to go to Florida University when I'm older. I was recommended for a few honors classes, so my parents gave me that as an award. I am completely thankful.

Well, there was a school dance that I attended, as a single lady. It was a formal for Valentine's Day. I was quite shocked that I found myself having a great time with all of my friends.

The dance was fun. I requested one of my favorite songs, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." It was a great experience. I stood on the bleachers and sang my little heart out with some of my friends. We even had a small crowd.

As for the other people in the gym... couples were left and right everywhere I looked. A boy, who taught me the real meaning of a Treacherous Tragedy found real love tonight. He kissed a girl and witnessed sparks flying, like I did one November night. I'm so happy for him, even though we'll never get to touch what we once had ever again. For once, the past is past... and the future is yet to be discovered.

Hopefully, I'll find myself participating in a bloggers chat today and maybe I'll do a little bit of shopping or hanging out with my friends. We'll have to see!

Mini Haul

I know I recently did a haul, but my mom took me out the other day and I wanted to share a few of the things I purchased. I hope you like it! Enjoy! xx

This mint long sleeve shirt has some detailing at the top which I really like. I'm thinking I'll just wear a white camisole under it.

I really like this shirt. It has a really peppy vibe to it. I've never had a peppy side, but this year I've been experimenting with some different styles.

It's somewhat hard to tell on camera, but it's a blazer. Shocker- I've never owned a blazer- ever. I'm super excited to wear this. It's super cute.

I. Love. This. Dress. So. Much. It reminds me of Taylor Swift when she released her first self-titled album. (I tried it on with my cowboy boots and sang "Fifteen" and let me tell you... I can so pull it off, haha.)

I went to the drugstore and came across the Neutrogena it turns out they're discontinuing a ton of their products! Like, why? It really helped clear my skin up and what not. I picked this foundation up, but I'm still in need of a concealer. (They didn't have one in my shade.) Any suggestions?

Boyfriend Gift Guide (Valentine's Day)

There are only 9 days until Valentine's Day! Can you believe it? The year is going by so fast. I decided that I would do a boyfriend gift guide for you guys, if you're currently dating. *I'm currently not dating anyone right now, but these are somethings that I would keep in mind if I was shopping for a boyfriend.

*Not my pictures.

I think the "traditional V-day gifts" are a win-win, such as the little stuffed animals and the little chocolates in a heart-shaped box. Guys like those things too, so that's always a plus.

As for a more personal level if you guys have been together for a longer period of time, then I would suggest getting something a little more meaningful then a box of chocolates. Take note in what he is interested in... does he play guitar? Does he like football? You could easily get him some guitar picks or something football related like a mug.

My favorite idea, which is something that I would definitely do if I had a boyfriend (one that was loyal and everything), I would pick out a photo frame and put a picture of us in it. Then I would add like a poem or something sweet. I think that would be absolutely adorable.

Thanks for reading! Xoxo,

Spring Haul

MmOver the weekend, I did a little bit of shopping. On Saturday, I went shopping with my mom and her friend. On Sunday, I went shopping with my friends. I'll be sure to tell you where everything is from if you're interested.

I already have a denim jacket, but I saw this one with the tribal print near the shoulders and fell in love. I think it would look great over a white shirt to give the look some pop.

Purchased: Kohl's

I found a light wash denim jacket. I figured it would look really nice with some spring and summer dresses.

Purchased: Kohl's

This sweater is so cute. It reminds me of a Wild Fox sweater, but I would never pay $300 for a sweater. This one is so much cuter anyway (in my opinion.)

Purchased: Kohl's

This is a little navy blue and white striped cardigan. It's a little bit on the longer side, but I really like it with some light wash jeans.

Purchased: Kohl's

I think this would look adorable with some white capris. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but I figured, why not?

Purchased: Kohl's

This top is so cute! I'm super excited to wear it this summer!

Purchased: Kohl's

I got this shirt in white and yellow as well, but I didn't take the picture of the yellow one. The yellow one is really bright, so I can't wait to wear it.

Purchased: Kohl's

Can we just have a moment for these adorable shoes? I'm in love.

Purchased: Kohl's

I found these pajama shorts and thought they were kind of cute.

Purchased: Kohl's

I'm not sure if you can tell on camera, but its a sheer, royal blue, button down shirt with a lace collar.

Purchased: Kohl's

This is a white, sheer, button down shirt with rhinestones on the collar.

Purchased: Kohl's

The sweater has a circle cutout in the back, but it's not overwhelming or huge. (My hair is so long anyway, that it covers it.)

The neckless has a little heart on it with rhinestones.

Purchased: Aeropostale

So, there is a formal this Friday and I was in need of a dress. I found this one and I think it looks okay. (Well, it has to be okay, because the place I bought it from has a no return policy.) I've never had a dress with a peplum detailing on it. I never thought I could pull it off anyway... I guess we'll soon find out.

Purchased: Forever21

I'm not sure if you can tell, but it's mint green and within the heart it says, "I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In." I. Love. It. It's mint green and it quotes Taylor Swift!

Purchased: Charlotte Russe

"It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters, and make fun of our exes..." Doesn't it? I love this shirt. I think it's super cute!

Purchased: Charlotte Russe

It was really hard to take a picture of this clothing piece. It's a black cardigan. The picture doesn't really do it justice, so I'll have to take a picture of me wearing it sometime.

Purchased: Charlotte Russe

This is like a sweatshirt material. My sister picked it out, so ideally it's hers, but of course I'm going to wear it.

Purchased: Charlotte Russe

Most of you know, my dream is to go to Paris. I'm obsessed. American Eagle had this shirt on sale, so my sister got it. I have eiffel tower stud earrings and an eiffel tower neckless that would look great with that shirt. She's super excited to wear it with some leggings and UGGS.

Purchased: American Eagle

My mom later went shopping and picked 3 things up for me, which I greatly appreciate. It's spaghetti strapped and has a floral print towards the end. It's adorable.

Purchased: Kohl's

You can't really tell, but these are black dress shorts.

Purchased: Kohl's

White capris! I have been on the lookout for white denim of some kind. My mom saw these for a reasonable price and picked them out. I can't wait to wear them this spring.

Purchased: Kohl's

Thank you so much for reading. I suppose you could call this my spring haul. I'm super excited to style some outfits around these clothing outfits.
