Guest Post/Collaboration: Fall Fashion Essentials

Hi everyone! My name is Juliana Grace and I am from the blog Juliana Grace Blog Space  and I blog about everything from fashion, devotions, beauty, movies, recipes, and more. Me and my good friend Guilianna decided to collaborate and do some posts on all things AUTUMN! I don't know about you but this is one of my favorite seasons mostly for the weather! Where I live, here in Florida, it doesn't get cold very often so this is one of my favorite times of year.

Here are a few of my fall essentials and things that are very on trend right now for the autumn season.

Layering:
I am not sure if this is more in style this year than regularly but I had to mention this because frankly, I layer almost every day in the autumn time. Mix and matching sweaters and button downs are great ways to get multiple outfits out of certain pieces and it keeps you nice and warm!

Riding Boots:
I see these everywhere! Some of my favorite bloggers have been wearing these and I would say these are a great staple for this season. They can dress up almost any outfit and go great with just about anything.

Plaid:
I know plaid and flannels have always had a place in the fashion world but I feel that I have seen these in almost every store recently. I have seen so many cute ways to wear them on Pinterest too. You can wear them with a puffer vest, under a sweater, around your waist, or normal with some jeans and jewelry! These are so versatile for any style I feel like!

Army Green:
To be honest I never really got into the army green trend until my grandma and aunt convinced me to buy this jacket and I haven't been able to put it down! This color screams Fall for me which is one of the reasons I love it. Army green can add an edgy flare to any outfit and I love pairing mine in all diferent ways or with a matching flannel! :)

Those are a few of my favorite Autumn fashion essentials! Thank you Guilianna for collaborating with me. Don't forget to head over to my blog to check out her Autumn beauty essentials. I hope you enjoyed and I look forward to chatting with all you soon :)

November Favorites + Decoding Blank Space

Hello everyone! x

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is approaching... which means it's almost December. Wow. Where has the time gone?

Today I'll be sharing with you my November Favorites. I'll also be decoding the song "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift. I did this pretty often in my previous year of blogging. Have you ever noticed how perfectly a song relates to a moment or era of your life? I found that "Blank Space" was one of those songs. Enjoy! x

Stay-matte oil-free makeup by Clinique

Expect a review on this product in the near future. It's incredible!

 Fashion

This bracelet has become my new everyday accessory. I got it for my 16th birthday and I'm absolutely in love with it. (I'm actually wearing it right now.) It's a silver bangle from Alex and Ani with a heart charm.

Music

The "Blank Space" music video is pretty cool. It's very different from Taylor's previous work, as was the "Shake It Off" music video. I'm excited to see what else Taylor has in store for us.

"Saw you there and I thought Oh My God, look at that face you look like my next mistake."
In a relationship, there has to be physical attraction. It's almost immediate how a connection forms when you just see someone. I'm pretty sure we've all been there: we've all realized that the beauty on the outside of a person isn't equivalent to what's on the inside. It's unfortunate.

"So it's gonna be forever, or it's gonna go down in flames. You can tell me when it's over, if the high was worth the pain."
As a relationship forms, I think we become conscious of everything that's occurring around us. We then analyze them down to the last stray. So, coming into a relationship we know that there are two ways out: the treacherous breakup and the enchanting happy ever after. In the end, I think we decide what the outcome is- not fate. If the aftermath just happens to lead to a breakup, the perpetual happiness that took place was completely worth the agony- maybe. At least, when you're "high" on love and happiness, the burn as the conclusion approaches doesn't seem realistic. At least that's how some people view it.

"Find out what you want, be that girl for a month."
Guilty. As much as I hate to admit it, it's true: I have changed my personality and mindset for someone. My head was in the clouds and I was so caught up in the fact that I could be someone "else." I stumbled on the truth. For about a month I pretended to be someone who I had created out of his expectations. You could tell the end of the relationship approached when my mindset and personality could no longer take the hiding. It was silent and rebellious to his liking. The only problem was it wasn't to my liking.

"Boys only want love if it's torture."
Isn't that the truth? I feel like boys are really good at playing the game of love, especially if it involves dangerous obstacles. Thank you Taylor for helping us girls cope with the twisted magic in our lives.

Overall I'm completely obsessed with the whole album. (I mentioned it a bit in my October Favorites, but I only listened to it for about two days. I've been listening to it for the whole month now.)

"I Can't Stop Drinking About You" by Bebe Rexha is another great song I discovered on iTunes Pop Hits radio. Pretty good! It reminds me of "Stay High (Habits)."

Other

My mom bought these home for me one day and I had them for lunch. They're amazing! I've had regular popcorn chips, but not the sea salt flavor. Very good! (It's healthy too, which is always a plus!)

A lot of these things I got for my birthday. For my birthday, I also got this planner. I am absolutely in love with it. I've been using it everyday of November to help me stay organized with school and my blog. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a planner to organize your life out.

*If you're interested, I can do a post on how I stay organized as a blogger. This agenda helps me through it all!

And that concludes my November Favorites post. My next post will be pictures from my Thanksgiving. Super excited!

What are some of your November favorites?

Thanks for reading,

Collective Haul (American Eagle, Forever21, Macy's, Ulta, and Sears)

Hello everyone! x

Today I have a haul for you all. I'm excited to share with you some items I picked up in the beginning of this month.

So, I went to a mall that I've only visited a few times. I decided to take some pictures.

On my way home, I stopped at Ulta. Super exciting, right?

On to the haul:

I first stopped at Macy's. I was on the hunt for a dress for Harvest Ball. It's a semi formal at my school. (I'm actually there right now as you are reading this.) Anyway, impulse buy! It's a pink/red dress with polk-a-dots! (It doesn't get much cuter than that.) It also has a little bit of detailing on the upper half. I'm super excited to wear this during the spring/summer months. I'm thinking I'll wear it when I go out to lunch with my friends or something. Super cute!

Next, I picked up something I can wear now. It's an off-white and black striped shirt. It's fairly long and loose fitting so it will go great with leggings and combat boots.

Lastly, my dress for Harvest Ball! (I'll show you some pics sometime soon from the ball!)

As you can see, it's a pretty simple black dress from American Eagle Outfitters. It has an empire waist which I adore. Following that, there's some detailing over the chest area to add some texture to the dress. Overall it's a simple piece, but with some cute, simple accessories I can dress it up.

I picked up this sweater from Sears. It's by the brand Metaphor. It's super cute. I love the intricate detailing and the warmth of it.

I purchased this from Forever21. (The clearance racks will do you good for some spring clothing, right?) It was supposed to come with a belt, but the belt was missing so I got 10% off. I'm thinking about ordering a white belt online or something. (Black Friday is coming up so I can always just pick one up then.)

Finally, here is what I bought from Ulta. I plan on doing some reviews in the future on these products. I picked up a new foundation and lipgloss by Clinique. So far, I am loving them both dearly. I also picked up a seat of makeup brushes. I find that they blend in my makeup better than sponges from the drugstore. Lastly, since it was my birthday, they sent me a coupon for a free Calvin Klein mascara. Ooo!

Lastly, I thought I would share with you some pictures from shopping and such since I no longer do journal entries.

Here, we were at the mall and they were having this huge pet adoption event. She is a beagle/doxie mix and her name is Porcupine! I had to take a picture.

Natalie's OOTD:
Sweater: American Eagle Outfitters
Neckless: American Eagle Outfitters
Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters
Shoes: Kohl's

My OOTD:
Sweater: American Eagle Outfitters
Leggings: American Eagle Outfitters
Knee Socks: Target
Knee High Boots: Steve Madden

I hope you enjoyed this haul plus a few pictures from my weekend travels.

3 Beauty/Fashion Apps You Need

Hi everyone! x

As you may or may not know, I have an addiction to my phone like most of you. While I'm on my phone I am always streaming social media or spending time on these three beauty/fashion apps: Polyvore, We Heart It, and The Hunt.

Polyvore
@guilianna13

I love this app! During my lunch, I spend my time making outfits and planning future fashion blog post ideas. I'll definitely be using this app more often now that I've been using it for quite some time.

Let me know if you have one, I would love to check out the outfits that you put together.

We Heart It
@guilianna13

This app is very similar to Instagram and Tumblr. I use We Heart It for pictures for my blog posts and style inspiration. It's very easy to use and function. I usually find myself browsing on this app during lunch- finding pictures for blog posts and getting ideas.

The Hunt
@guilianna13

One of my best friend's showed me this app. So, it's called The Hunt. When you are in need of knowing where something is from, you post the picture on the app and people help you find it. So, for example, if you're looking for a blouse you saw on Tumblr, just post the pic and bam! It's amazing!

I recently downloaded Wanelo. I'm still messing around with it. Let me know what beauty/fashion apps you have on your phone. I would love to try them out.

Products I've Used Up + Mini Reviews

Hello everyone! x

How are you? Today I'll be doing an updated "Products I've Used Up." I'm looking forward to sharing these products with you, as well as a small review on them.

I am a mascara junky. I love mascara and lipgloss so much. Here I have Covergirl's Clump Crusher and Maybelline's Pumped Up Colosal Volum Express mascaras. These two mascaras have made quite an impact in my routines, as I have used them when getting ready for school.

I prefer Maybelline's mascara in this case because it lengthened and darkened my mascara. I love how dark and intense the formula made my eyelashes with one coat of application.

I bought this concealer during the summer. I was probably burned a little from not putting any sunscreen on. Therefore, the color was on the orange-y side. I decided to then use it to conceal the dark circles under my eyes. Worked like a charm.

Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Primer came in handy often. It minimized my pores and eased application for my BB cream/foundation.

I really want to try Benefit's POREfessional primer. I tried a sample of it and it made my skin feel super smooth.

I've used this product forever. And ever. Literally. I've finally hit pan on it. I like this powder. It gives my skin a matte finish, but it could last a little longer. It does not last me a full school day, which bothers me a little. If you have any suggestions for a powder be sure to let me know.

This is my favorite concealer. This is my second purchase of the item, I will definitely be repurchasing it in the near future. Click here for a review of this product. I'm obsessed.

Thank you so much for reading! Let me know if you have any product recommendations. I got an Ulta giftcard for my birthday and I'm dying to spend some of it.

Guilianna xx

*On a side note, please let me know what you think of the picture quality. I am using my new iPhone 6. How exciting! I think they're a lot clearer. What do you think?

Morning Playlist

Hello everyone! x

I hope you're all doing well. Today I wanted to share with you a few songs from my current morning playlist. Enjoy!

1. Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
It's gonna be all right.

I find that any song that gives you confidence belongs on your morning playlist. "Shake It Off" is such a playful song. Anyone can relate to it. When someone calls you "passive aggressive" or a "b*tch" this song instantly changes your mood. Shake off the hate and move on. I listen to this song every morning because it puts me in an optimistic mindset.

2. American Dream by MKTO
Do something with your life.

I recently just added this song to my playlist. The lyrics in this song define motivation. Now that I'm a sophomore, college is a topic that never leaves my mind. This song motivates me to do well in school and perform my best- always.

3. Lips Are Movin by Meghan Trainer
And I'm a classy girl.

Meghan Trainer has been on an uproar. Her music is upbeat, fun, and truthful. This song is her most recent release I believe. It's a catchy, playful song that gets me pumped up.

4. Try by Colbie Calliat
Cause I like you.

In a high school setting, people care about everything but their academics. Overall, people care about their looks- the makeup placed upon their face, the price of the shirt on their back, where they bought it, who they hangout with, if they have a boyfriend, etc. It doesn't mean anything. Yet, we still try to impress people- who we really don't care about.

5. First Flight Home by Jake Miller
Hey, I've been gone forever.

This is for those rainy mornings on the bus. I really like this song. I don't have much to say about it. Just a sweet song overall.

6. Trumpets by Jason Derulo
I hear symphonies in my head.

Guess what!? It's Friday! This is my Funday song. Just a song that gets you ready for the weekend.

7. Red Lights by Tiesto
This road leads where your heart is.

As the average teenage girl, I can define myself in three simple words: young, wild, and free. "Red Lights" has a way of making you feel all of those things at once, even when you don't have 100% freedom.

Let me know what you listen to on your way to school. I would love to add some new songs to my playlist.

University of Florida

Hello everyone! x

As you may or may not know, I went to the University of Florida this past weekend for a tour. I've been researching the school for quite some time and really wanted to view the campus. It has one of the best Journalism and Communications programs in the country. It was such a fantastic opportunity to step foot onto the campus.

This is from the night before I left. My makeup case is super cute. My grandmother got it for me a Christmas or two ago. Love it!

Here, I am waiting for our rental car. I'm probably listening to Taylor Swift's 1989 album.

Here's a picture of my sister and I standing in front of our funky rental car. Very bright! It was hard to miss in any of the parking lots.

Finally, to the tour! Here's the stadium; it's massive! I love the bright colors and how alive it makes you feel, almost as if you were a gator yourself.

Ready for my OOTD?

Hair: Katniss Everdeen braid
Necklace: Jared's
Dress: Abercrombie & Fitch
Cardigan: Aeropostale
Shoes: Sperry Topsider Boat Shoes

Here's a glimpse of inside the campus. Very clean and welcoming.

Later, we went to a soccer game. Go Gators! The score was 6-1. As they score or earn a corner kick, they throw stuff into the stands. I caught a Gator! It was such a fun experience, even with the rain delay.

The next day, we went to The Florida Mall. Very cool!

Yes, we took a picture with the blue m&m. Another OOTD?

Hair: Natural
Blouse: Pacsun
Shorts: Abercrombie & Fitch
Shoes: Sperry Topsider Boat Shoes
Necklace: Jared's

Downtown Disney! I've done several Disney posts. My family is known for loving Disney. They recently put this bridge up to connect the Saratoga Springs hotel and Downtown Disney. (See, my family is made up of Disney nerds.)

The water is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't resist posting it for you guys to see.

Ghiradeli. Is. The. Best. Enough said.

In conclusion to our trip we went mini golfing to please my sister. It was a lot of fun!

That concludes my trip to the University of Florida. We only stayed for 3 days. I am so thankful my parents gave me this opportunity. I plan on visiting a few more colleges and bringing you guys along for the journey. I really want to visit the University of Columbia. I'm still looking at others of course.

Thanks for reading,

October Favorites

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to be sharing with you my October Favorites. Enjoy! x

Music

Love by Jana Kramer

Taylor Swift’s 1989 album is amazing! I am currently obsessed with "All You Had To Do Was Stay" and "Wonderland."

Cop Car by Keith Urban

Fashion

Kohls

I picked up a scarf not too long ago. The pattern is very bold, which is something I love. This fall, bold and quirky patterns are conquering the streets.

Kohls has decent quality clothes, and they're not expensive. I've never really given this store the time of day on my blog, but I would highly recommend checking it out for some cute sweaters (and scarves!)

Beauty

EOS hand lotion
My hands are already starting to get dry. I've been using this hand cream and my hands are starting to feel refreshed and smooth again.

Dream Pure BB Cream
I'm actually looking for a new BB cream or foundation for this winter. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Something with coverage, but appropriate for school is my goal.
