Bathing Suit Trends

I'm sure everyone is on their last few days of school and are finally ready to hit the beach or the pool; I know I am! Therefore, I decided to share with you some of the bathing suit styles that are trending this summer. Enjoy! x

High Waisted Bottoms

This trend is spiraling in- uncontrollably. The high waisted bottoms define your figure, therefore making it more flattering on your body. I've caught Taylor Swift wearing this type of bathing suit while she was hanging out with her friends. Retro and adorable is in trend!

I purchased mine at Abercrombie & Fitch, but Forever21 has a super cute selection you can choose from as well.

One Piece Cutouts

As a teenager, some of tend to think that one piece bathing suits aren't as exciting as the typical bikini. Here is a fun twist in the boring one piece bathing suit. You have a nice mix of concealing more, and showing more. I love this. It has the perfect balance of skin, and it doesn't look trashy, (if you pick the right one for your body.)

Ruffles! Ruffles! And more ruffles!

Ruffles on the bottoms of the bathing suit are coming into style! They're cute and flattering on most body shapes. This one is from Juicy Couture. I think it's super cute. It also incorporates the 80's trend as well! 

I find that these types of bathing suits are a lot more flattering if you have a muffin top, compared to someone who is pear shaped. It balances out your body more evenly. Either way, I love the trend!
